About PDDC

Facilities

Our Forest Street facility was converted from a classic New England carriage house, and rebuilt and refurbished to create a unique and comfortable dog utopia. PDDC includes special areas for puppies, small, medium, and large dogs for all-day fun. Your dog has plenty of space to play, have fun, and enjoy camp.

Does your pet cringe at the sight of a crate? So do we! PDDC is cage-free. Your dog will have the freedom to run around and interact with other dogs.

Attendants

Each member of our staff is professional, well-trained, and experienced. All attendants have several monthly sessions with a dog trainer to hone such skills as body language, clicker training, and anxiety reduction. Our commitment to attendants' skills is unmatched. We believe that one of the best ways to serve your pet is to bring power and knowledge to our employees.

Our staff makes sure that every pet gets the personal attention it deserves. Each room typically has a group of eight to ten dogs; that's half the number at some dog daycare facilities. There's one attendant for each of these small groups - an extraordinarily low ratio of attendants to dogs.

Pet Assessment

In order to confidently open our doors to your pet, all dogs must go through a rigorous screening process. We make sure dogs are friendly with people and will be compatible with our other day campers. That's why we require a pet assessment for each dog: to ensure they are ready to take part in all of the exciting things we have to offer. Please call or email to set up an appointment for a first-time assessment.

Through a Dog's Ear

We sometimes play music at PDDC. Specially created classical piano arrangements can be extremely useful in cases of separation anxiety and thunderstorm anxiety. "Through a Dog's Ear" is the only clinically researched auditory solution for canine behavior issues.
